“Not gold, only man can make a nation great and strong”, so says Emerson. Students are the assets of an institution, whom the HEI moulds into responsible, skilled and better individuals, who in turn work for the betterment of a nation. Thus, in the post-globalised society, Higher Educational Institutions play a major role in transforming the young citizens of a nation to individuals committed to the growth of the country. Acknowledging the truth that accountability strengthens responsibility, FMN College has evolved a mechanism for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality up-gradation. Thus, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was formed as a quality sustenance measure with the objective to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the institution. The IQAC of Fatima Mata National College has been instrumental in uplifting the college and transforming it into a premier HEI, finally resulting in it being recognised as an Autonomous institution in 2014, a milestone worth inscribing in golden letters. The IQAC of the college works along with all the other committees of the college to ensure effective implementation of the action plans devised for each year. It brings all the activities of the college under its purview, enabling accountability at all levels.
